Tom Beard has been with Gardner Business Media Inc. for 30 years. Formerly the chief editor of Gardner’s flagship brand, Modern Machine Shop, since 2000 he has concentrated on development of the online presence of all Gardner media brands. Last year Beard became Director of Custom Content to build a team that focuses on providing an array of digital products and services to serve Gardner customers’ content marketing needs. Every two years he continues as editor of the IMTS Show Daily.

Kim began her career as an Industry Economist in the research department in 2007 and has been involved with MTInsight and the Exhibitor Passport tool since its creation in 2011. Kim has just celebrated her 10 year anniversary with AMT.

Amanda Butler has served as the IMTS Call Center Manager for GES since IMTS 2016, and has been a part of the GES service team since IMTS 2014. Amanda focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, finding solutions, and working as a cohesive team. Amanda holds an M.B.A. from St. Xavier University.

John Campos has been an advertising sales leader for Gardner Business Media Inc. for nearly 15 years. He enjoys visiting suppliers to learn about their manufacturing technology and helping them leverage their brands with Gardner’s engaged buying audiences. John earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and he first learned about manufacturing during his time at Sundstrand Corporation in Rockford, Ill. Jeff has been with CMAC for more than 12 years, serving as President & CEO since August of 2008. Prior to joining CMAC, Jeff worked for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) as the Director of Strategic Alliances from 1999-2005, while also spending four years at both the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau and Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau in various sales capacities.
Jeff is a second-generation trade show professional, whose “better half” also runs trade shows, so needless to say, he’s ALL IN when it comes to the trade show industry!
Jeff was a competitive golfer and marathoner prior to joining CMAC, both of which have been negatively impacted by his dedication to his trade and commitment to his clients.
Jeff lives in Dallas, Texas, (but you’ll have better luck finding him on show site in Chicago or Las Vegas) with his girlfriend Dana and their eight-month-old Goldendoodle, Javier, who is currently off at doggie boarding school, hopefully being trained out of his bad habits!

Michelle has been with AMT since 2004, but has worked on IMTS since 1996. She has been in the trade show industry for more than 25 years, and enjoys all aspects of the business. Michelle’s specialty is operations, but in 2017, she added Marketing to her repertoire. When not working, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Peter Eelman’s business career has always been centered around the IMTS Show. Entering the manufacturing technology industry in 1980 with the Wiedemann Division of Warner & Swasey, one of his first assignments was the production of the 1980 IMTS Show. After 16 years on the exhibitor side of IMTS, he joined AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology and has been managing IMTS ever since.
During his tenure IMTS has continued to be among the top three domestic events in the United States, as ranked by several industry measures, and he has overseen the introduction of technology-based advancements such as IMTS.com, IMTSTV, the e-kit operations manual and the introduction of the fixed-price Custom Block Package System, which has been hailed as the model for cost containment in show operations.
Peter has served on numerous advisory boards and committees, most notably the Chicago Labor Management Council, the Choose Chicago Advisory Council and the Friends of McCormick Place, a group involved in the building of the current complex.
In addition to IMTS, Peter is responsible for AMT's international trade shows, which have included major events in China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, and throughout Europe.

Bryce Ellis has been working with exhibitors and advertising customers with Gardner Business Media for seven years. He began his career as an Exhibitor Advertising Manager with Map Your Show where he worked with exhibitors to maximize their investment at trade shows. In 2014, Bryce was promoted to his current position as District Manager with Gardner Business Media’s metalworking brands. In this role, he works with manufacturing suppliers in the Midwest to achieve their marketing goals and objectives. Bryce received his BA in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.

Adam serves as the Exhibitions Marketing Administrator. He coordinates and produces IMTS digital marketing content, all IMTS social media, and helps produce IMTSTV. He produced social media and video content for IMTS 2016. He has a BA in communications and media production from George Mason University.

Tom Gilmore, GES National Freight Manager IMTS, has been a leader and an innovator in the trade show industry for more than 40 years, leading freight and sales operations for several companies in that time. Tom is most recognized for his work on IMTS, improving show production in efficiency and customer service through his work on the Custom Block Package, bringing cost certainty and excellent customer service through this innovative pricing structure. Tom is partnered with Bob Ryley in the production of IMTS.

Bonnie Gurney is Director – Industry Partnerships at AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. An experienced executive at AMT, Ms. Gurney plays a pivotal role in forming future strategies for manufacturing trade shows. A consummate relationship builder, Bonnie enjoys bringing innovative technologies to IMTS through the Emerging Technology Center with long-term partners such as Local Motors and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Ms. Gurney is also the principal for IMTS public relations.
Throughout her 18-year career at AMT she has led and created compelling marketing and communication initiatives. She launched successful rebranding campaigns for AMT in 2012 and IMTS in 2015. Ms. Gurney has spearheaded successful rollouts for The MFG Meeting, IMTS.com, MyShow Planner, online E-Kit, the IMTSTV program, the IMTS Insider newsletter, the IMTS Technology e-Newsletter, and countless websites.
Ms. Gurney has a BA in economics from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.
Outside of work, Bonnie is an accomplished equestrian, triathlete, skier and enjoys needlepointing. She resides in Reston, Va., with her husband, two kids and very friendly Goldendoodle.

Stephanie Hendrixson entered the manufacturing world in 2012, when she served as the IMTS intern for Modern Machine Shop magazine. She now covers 3D printing technology and applications as senior editor of Additive Manufacturing and is a regular contributor to the MMS blog.

Bill has produced trade shows and special events for the past 30 years, both internationally and in the U.S. With experience in both B2C and B2B events and in a variety of industries, he brings a well-rounded perspective to his role at AMT, overseeing sponsorship programs for AMT domestic events and guiding AMT members into international trade shows in China, India and Brasil.
Director of Promotional Marketing | CMAC
Since 2004, Bob has worked at CMAC, where he has supervised the sales and management of all sponsorship advertising for a broad range of shows from giants like IMTS and CES down to small shows with five buses in some small cities. He enjoys the challenges that each show presents, and embraces his responsibility to offer appropriate packages to enhance all exhibitors, both large and small. CMAC offers in-house production operation and options from giant full bus wraps down to just sponsor logo and booth number on flyers.
Bob has served in notable positions such as Product Manager at Speidel, Vice President of Sales/ National Accounts Manager at Colibri Corp., President of Lang Jewelry Co. and National Accounts Manager for International Packaging's Display division. Derek Korn is the Executive Editor of Modern Machine Shop magazine. He joined the magazine in 2004, but he has been writing about manufacturing since 1997. His mechanical engineering technology degree provides a solid foundation for understanding and explaining how innovative shops leverage advanced machining technologies, equipment and processes to their advantage. Derek also manages the magazine's annual Top Shops benchmarking survey, which enables U.S. machine shops to see how their technology and business-related key performance indicators stack up against the country's leading machining businesses.

You could say that Cynthia Kustush was “born into mold building”, because she is the proud daughter of a mold builder, Alan Petrucci, who founded B A Die Mold, Inc. in 1968. Cyndi joined MoldMaking Technology (MMT) magazine as Senior Editor in 2015, but has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to the mold making industry. Prior to working at MMT, Cyndi managed PR and media relations for 12 years at Progressive Components. She has been actively involved with the American Mold Builders Association’s Chicago Chapter since 1992. Cyndi attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, earning bachelor’s degrees in journalism and English.

Rachelle Muckle began her career at AMT in 2012 as Exhibitions Operations Assistant. She was promoted to Exhibitions Operations Manager and attained her CEM (Certified in Exhibition Management) in 2016. Rachelle currently oversees various operational aspects of IMTS, AMT International Pavilions and assists with AMT's Regional Show Partnership. She enjoys working with the exhibitions team to come up with innovative and new solutions.
Rachelle is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in psychology and a minor in business. She loves reading, cooking, traveling and buying shoes.

Derrick Munro started his event electrical career in 2002 with the electrical build-out for the Main Media Press Center housed in the Salt Palace Convention Center at the Winter Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah. After several years of overseeing the electrical aspects of major trade shows and special events for Modern Exposition Services, Derrick joined Freeman in 2007 to oversee all electrical operations in Reno, Nevada, as well as Sacramento, Calif., and Salt Lake City, Utah. In November of 2010, Freeman promoted Derrick to Electrical Account Manager in Chicago where his assignment has been instrumental in the planning and implementation of all phases of key account projects. His expertise lies in seamless integration of electrical services planning, pre-event scheduling, budget calculations and on-target implementation during production in close cooperation with client and Freeman account teams. Derrick has supported the electrical on IMTS since 2011. Derrick, his wife, and three children currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bob has 30 years of industry experience, and has spent 28 years with GES. Bob manages a limited number of client relationships for GES that include the International Manufacturing Technology Show, The Chicago Auto Show and the American College of Surgeons. Melissa Kline Skavlem is Chief Marketing Officer and Secretary of the Board of Directors for Gardner Business Media, Inc., the premier publisher for the plants, shops, factories, and the people of manufacturing in North America. Skavlem started working for Gardner during summers when she was 14 years old. She is a fourth generation descendant of Gardner Business Media’s founder, Don Gardner, who started the company in 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the introduction of Modern Machine Shop magazine – the premier metalworking and machine tool publication in North America. Gardner, which prides itself on being family focused, currently has four family members in addition to Skavlem who work for the business, and numerous others with family connections.
Skavlem received her BA from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. in 1988. She serves as a Board Member for the Reshoring Initiative and is a past Board Member of Cincinnati’s Goering Center for Family Business. She is also active with several Down Syndrome organizations including the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati. She lives in Cincinnati and with her husband Steve and their three daughters.
