Interview with John Krisko, AMT’s former and longtime Director – Exhibitions, returns to IMTS to talk about his impressions of IMTS 2016—his 20th show to attend. Krisko retired after IMTS 2014 with 16 years of experience in show management and 50 years in the manufacturing technology industry.
MTConnect Student Challenge Winners:
Ethan Wescoat, a student at Georgia Tech, placed first in the MTConnect Student Challenge for his submission "Monitoring Machines using Excel and MTConnect." Ethan takes home $10,000 for his winning application.
Kathryn Lovell from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute placed second for her application, which uses StepNC data to create a simulation that provides insights into manufacturing efficiency using MTConnect. She takes home $7,500 in prize money.
North Carolina State student Shaurabh Kumar Singh placed third for his application “Real-time Digital Verification of Product Manufacturing Data. He won a $5,000 prize.
Rice University student Samson Zhou also appeared at the awards ceremony as a finalist for his application, "MTLogger."
