IMTSTV welcomes Mark Albert, Pete Zalinski, and Derek Korn from Modern Machine Shop Magazine to get their final thoughts on IMTS 2016. New generations of machines and people are changing the way we view technology in manufacturing. The push to data-driven manufacturing and the Industrial IoT has never been stronger. The interfaces of sophisticated technology are being made more intuitive and we are seeing more advances in machine tools and machining processes than ever before. Additive has really established its place at IMTS, with additive processes ready for industrial part production. It's all about leveraging the machine tool platform into a means of part-making that wasn't even anticipated when these machines were designed. Finally, there isn't a set way to solve engineering problems anymore and attendees are no longer looking for new machines, they're looking for solutions to their engineering problems. All this and more with the editors of MMS Magazine from the IMTSTV South Studio at IMTS 2016.
